Americans Woefully Ill-Informed

This graphic is from an excellent Wired article on American knowledge of the world and their own country. Amazingly (or not so amazingly) viewers of The Daily Show were more considerably more knowledgeable in answering basic world facts than viewers of Fox News.

A new study from the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press shows that Americans, on average, are less able to correctly answer questions about current events than they were in 1989.

  1. Amazing demographics…sorry to know we’ve gotten worse in info desemination…not surprising though given the capiitalist aquisition of the media by a few zillionaires.

  3. POLITICIANS ARE HABITUAL LIARS. THEY’LL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR, BUT WHEN VOTED IN THEY’LL DO WHAT THEY WANT NOT WHAT THEY PROMISED. WE need half promises fulfilled in half term or your out. vice takes over and not same party. also many independants for offices of president + without permission from the system.=gay is out
