After playing around with Ubuntu a bit I decided to take the plunge and dual-boot my system with it. For the past month I have been running it daily and the experience has been amaizng. Everything runs much quicker than my Windows XP install and it has a ton of cool customiziable eye candy. Other than the fact that I can’t run Photoshop CS3 or Illustrator CS2 in Wine it is perfect for me. The fact I can’t run my image software really kills it however. What I really don’t understand is that Wine runs all my other Windows specific software perfectly. For the time being I am stuck booting back and forth between operating systems when I need to do graphics work.
